ROCK SPRINGS, Wyoming— The Bureau of Land Management's wild horse holding facility is reopening with about 800 horses available for adoption. TheBLMannounced that the next adoption event will take place on May 2-3.
Horses will be available on a first-come, first-served basis for the standard adoption fee of $125.BLMspecialists will be on hand to answer questions and provide guidance to potential adopters.
The facility had been temporarily closed to allow newly arrived horses to settle into their new surroundings and for necessary cleaning and maintenance.
