Today, American Wild Horse Conservation (formerly American Wild Horse Campaign) and Return to Freedom joined forces with U.S. Rep. Raul Grijalva and actress Wendie Malick at a press conference. The event took place at the Bureau of Land Management's Palomino Valley Adoption Center near Reno, highlighting critical issues within the federal wild horse program.

The Palomino Valley Center, where 1,700 formerly wild horses are held, served as a poignant backdrop to emphasize the shortcomings of the current federal wild horse program. AWHC is proud to collaborate with Rep. Grijalva, a staunch advocate for the protection of America's wild horses and burros on public lands. Together, they are urging the reform of the BLM wild horse program in line with the National Academy of Sciences' recommendations.

The press conference attracted significant attention from both local and national media, resulting in coverage by the Associated Press, Los Angeles Times, and Reno Gazette Journal.
