Court Asked to Transfer Ownership of ISPMB Horses

The South Dakota Animal Industry Board, responding to requests from Dewey and Ziebach counties, is seeking judicial approval to transfer ownership of horses from the International Society for the Protection ofMustangsand Burros (ISPMB) to Fleet of Angels in Evans, CO, and Habitat for Horses in Hitchcock, TX.

During a public meeting held via teleconference on December 12, the Animal Industry Board (AIB) voted unanimously to file a motion in court for the transfer of ownership.

A hearing on this motion is scheduled for Friday, January 27, in the Fourth Circuit Court in Dupree, presided over by Judge Michael Day.
