Wild horses and burros are being rounded up by helicopters and kept in packed government holding pens. The latest roundup involved almost 500 horses from the Nevada-Oregon border. Animal groups tried to fight this roundup in court, arguing it violated federal law, but they lost. Many advocates spent money at auctions to rescue these horses.
