Virginia Range Horses Seeking New Homes

The American Wild Horse Conservation (formerly American Wild Horse Campaign) is seeking permanent homes for several Virginia Rangemustangscaptured by the NDA. These magnificent horses include a variety of trained and untrained geldings and mares. If you can help with placement, please reach out to us.
Available Horses
- 4 halter trained geldings
- 2 non-halter trained geldings
- 1 saddle-trained mare
- The Franktown 4 (partial band)
- The Lockwood 13 (family led by the black stallion, now gelding, Black Jack and his beautiful roan, dun, and grulla mares)

Splash
- Splash is a very beautiful and athletic 3-year-old Pilot Valley mare.
- She has been handled and ridden quite a bit.
- Splash is gentle, sweet, and easy to handle.
- She is a quick learner and respects boundaries.
- She is very good with bareback riding.
Bucky
- 3-year-old Pilot Valley Mustang, unbranded.
- Dark buckskin gelding, about 15 hands high.
- Energetic and curious, sensitive to pressure.
- Has potential to be a faithful partner with a sensitive, experienced person.
- Limited training but can be haltered, feet picked up, led, and groomed.
Buster
- Yearling gelding from Fort McDermitt Indian Reservation.
- Can be haltered, knows hind quarter yields, and has been trimmed in hand.
- Very curious and approachable.
- Ready for new learning experiences.
Rio
- Approximately 1-2 years old.
- Beautiful solid black with blonde highlights.
- About 13.5 hands but still growing.
- Smart and cute, working on an obstacle course.
- Potential for Trail Trials.
Bo
- Approximately 2-3 years old.
- Beautiful solid black with a white diamond.
- About 14.2 hands and still growing.
- Calm and curious with nice conformation.
- Halter training in process.
Jangles
- Approximately 2-3 years old.
- Beautiful Red Roan Appy with black socks.
- About 14.2 hands and growing.
- Strong personality, lead horse in a group.
- Halter training in process.
Tucker
- Approximately 2-3 years old.
- Bay with black socks and black mane and tail.
- About 14 hands and still growing.
- Sweet personality, curious and not intimidated.
- Halter training in process.
